The 8th International Conference on Multimedia Analysis and Pattern Recognition (MAPR 2025) was held on August 14–15, 2025 in Nha Trang, Viet Nam. The conference was organised by the University of Information Technology (UIT), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), in collaboration with the Vietnam Association on Pattern Recognition (VAPR), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), and the Institute of Information Technology (IOIT).
With IEEE as the technical sponsor and proceedings indexed by Scopus, MAPR 2025 attracted strong interest from the international research community. The conference received 135 submissions and accepted 67 high-quality papers across six oral sessions covering computer vision, vision–language models, tracking and activity recognition, AI in healthcare, speech and language, and cybersecurity.
INT2 was proud to sponsor MAPR 2025 as part of our continuing support for Viet Nam’s research community. The conference featured keynote talks by Prof. Kang-Hyun Jo (University of Ulsan), Prof. Ngai-Man Cheung (SUTD), and Prof. Hiep Q. Luong (Ghent University), covering vision-based AI, model inversion in deep neural networks, and sensor fusion applications.
