INT2 is proud to participate as a Bronze Supporter at the 9th International Conference on Multimedia Analysis and Pattern Recognition (MAPR 2026), held in Hue City, Vietnam, on August 13–14, 2026.
MAPR is an international conference series organized by the University of Information Technology (UIT, VNU-HCM), the Vietnamese Association on Pattern Recognition (VAPR), the Institute of Information Technology (IOIT, VAST), and the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, HUST. The conference is technically sponsored by IEEE and indexed in Scopus. After the success of the 8th MAPR 2025, this year’s edition continues to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to share their latest findings and foster collaborations in AI, pattern recognition, multimedia, and emerging application domains.
The conference features three keynote speakers:
– **Professor Ngo Chong Wah** (Singapore Management University) – “What Multimodal Large Language Models See and Miss in Cultural Contexts?”
– **Professor Ching-Chun Huang** (National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan) – “Beyond Perceptual Quality: Towards Geometry- and Physics-Grounded Generative Multimedia AI”
– **Professor Nobutaka Ono** (Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan) – “Audio at the Edge: Low-Latency Blind Source Separation and Blinky-Based Acoustic Scene Recognition”
MAPR 2026 covers three focused tracks: Foundations of AI and Machine Learning; Computer Vision, Multimedia, and Language Processing; and AI Applications and Emerging Domains. The conference received a large number of submissions, with over 100 accepted papers spanning topics such as deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, medical image analysis, AI for cybersecurity, hardware-aware neural network optimization, and Vietnamese language processing.
As a Bronze Supporter, INT2 continues its commitment to advancing AI and multimedia research in Vietnam, following its ongoing sponsorship of the VLSP evaluation campaigns and other academic community initiatives.
